الهرمسية تنسب إلى هرمس مثلت العظمة لكن بعض المصادر تزعم أن مؤسسها هو سمعان المجوسي. و كلمة “المجوسية” تستخدم على نحو سيئ في العالم عربي لكنها مدرسة لها تأثير على أغلب الأديان و الفرق.

Hermeticism is attributed to Hermes Trismegistus, but some sources claim that its actual founder is Simon Magus. The word “Magi” has negative connotation in the Arab world, but it is a religious school that has an effect on most religions and groups.
